You may not live on a working farm like Little England, but the reality is we farm our lives each and every day. No matter what we do for a living, we plant the seeds of life in how and where we work, the ways in which we raise our children and how we give back to our community.
If it’s time for you to unplug and take a little time away from it all, we’d love to welcome you to the Little England Farm Sarah’s Creek House for a weekend, a week, or even an entire season!
The Sarah’s Creek House at Little England Farm is located just beyond the gates of the 60-acre historic property, dating back to the 1700s. Accessible by boat and by road, the property features a private beach and access to York River Yacht Haven, a full-service marina right across the creek.
The cozy cottage sleeps four, is fully furnished, features two king bedrooms, 1.5 baths, all new furniture, modern appliances and – BONUS! – sits on the windswept waterfront of Sarah’s Creek with a beautiful back porch perfect for relaxing at any time of the day.
Being an active farm, there are pecan, persimmon, pear, and chestnut trees as well as an abundance of blackberry bushes around the property. Within the white fencing we keep four quarter horses, a miniature pig named Apple Bottom (the popular song may just get stuck in your head after you visit), and a few different critters depending on the season. We encourage our guests to walk the property and say hello to any animals they come across!
All linens and towels are provided. Personal tours and guided activities available upon request.
If you’re looking for some good, Chesapeake Bay dining, you’ll find recommendations on where to go to eat local (everything from outdoor eating to the best burger this side of Guinea Road and delectable southern BBQ fare)!
